Usage measurement
Usage measurement is currently disabled. The guide does not send usage events.
When enabled, measurement counts public page visits, show-detail opens and clicks to original sources. Counts are grouped by UTC day, page type, show and platform. They do not prove that someone watched or listened.
Usage records do not contain a visitor identifier, account, full URL, query parameters, referrer, IP address or browser details. Measurement does not use cookies or browser storage to recognize visitors.
Each event has a new random receipt to avoid duplicate counting for ten minutes. Only its hash and expiry are stored separately from the counts. Expired receipts are removed during later event intake or manual upkeep; expiry does not guarantee immediate deletion.
These counts cannot tell us how many distinct people visited or who returned on another day. We will ask pilot participants about repeat use. Editor traffic and designated internal testing are excluded from usage counts.
Sign-in, feedback and original publishers
Invited editors use GitHub sign-in and session cookies to access editing. These are separate from public browsing and usage measurement.
Feedback links open your email app. A message is sent only when you send it there. Original publishers handle playback and subscriptions under their own privacy policies.
The hosting service may keep technical request logs separately from usage counts. Its logging and retention settings still need confirmation before public release.
